we
encounter
a
wave
of
climate
change
stories.
The
rapid
and
alarming.
changes
in
our
climate
have
a
profound
impact
on
our
lives
and
pose
a
threat
to
the
future
of
humanity.
However,
we
all
have
a
role
to
play
in
mitigating
climate
change
by
reducing
carbon
emissions.
Our
carbon
footprint
represents
the
total
amount
of
carbon
dioxide
or
carbon
dioxide
equivalent
gasses
(CO2e)
released
into
the
environment
through
energy
consumption.
Unfortunately,
a
large
portion
of
our
energy
usage
still
relies
on
fossil
fuels.
As
a
footwear
manufacturer,
we
also
release
CO2e.

We
aim
to
reduce
our
carbon
footprint
by
65%
per
pair
by
the
end
of
2027,
ultimately
working
towards
carbon
neutrality
by
2050.
Based
on
the
latest
data
from
Apex’s
business
channels,
the
export
unit
shows
an
estimated
CO₂
reduction
intensity
of
-0.811
kg
per
pair
(-35%).
However,
this
represents
a
51%
increase
compared
to
the
previous
reporting
cycle,
while
the
domestic
unit
shows
an
estimated
CO₂
intensity
of
+0.013
kg
per
pair
(+5%).
